How are your pigs raised?
Our pigs are raised outdoors on pasture and moved regularly through our rotational grazing system.
Where are your pigs raised?
Our pigs are raised on pasture at Rigo Farms Homestead using rotational grazing practices.
What do you feed your pigs?
Our pigs receive non-GMO feed that contains no corn or soy, along with access to pasture.
Does your bacon contain nitrites?
Yes. Our bacon and hams from the standard cut sheet are cured using Cure #1, which contains sodium nitrite. Cure #1 is a standard curing ingredient used to safely cure pork and helps provide the characteristic flavor, color, and preservation associated with cured meats.
What seasoning is used in your pork sausage?
Our pork sausage is seasoned with a blend containing salt, dextrose, spices, monosodium glutamate (MSG), spice extractives, BHA (0.15%), propyl gallate (0.15%), and citric acid (0.10%). The seasoning is used at a rate of 1 lb per 50 lbs of pork.

How are your chickens raised?
Our chickens are pasture-raised and moved onto fresh pasture as part of our rotational grazing system. We believe giving our birds access to the outdoors allows them to express their natural behaviors while contributing to the health of our pasture.
What do you feed your chickens?
Our poultry is fed non-GMO feed with no corn or soy, along with access to pasture.
Can I pre-order chicken?
Yes! We take pre-orders for our pasture-raised chickens. Pre-ordering is a great way to make sure you have birds available when our next batch is ready.
What breed of chickens do you raise for meat?
We raise Cornish Cross chickens for meat, along with heritage poultry as part of our operation.
How are your laying hens raised?
Our laying hens are raised with access to pasture and are managed using our rotational grazing approach. We move them onto fresh areas as part of our regenerative farming practices.
How long do your meat chickens stay in the brooder?
Our Cornish Cross chickens spend their first 3 weeks in our Mother Cabin, where they receive the care and protection they need while they are young. After 3 weeks, they are moved out onto pasture where they continue to grow.

What is Rigo Farms Homestead?
Rigo Farms Homestead is a family-operated regenerative farm focused on raising healthy animals while caring for the land. We raise pasture-raised pork, poultry, and laying hens while using rotational grazing and other regenerative farming practices.
Where is Rigo Farms Homestead located?
We are located near Cheney, Washington, and serve families in our local community with locally raised pork, poultry, and eggs.
Do you use regenerative farming practices for all of your animals?
Our goal is to integrate our animals into the farm's overall regenerative system. Different species have different management needs, so the way we raise our pigs, meat chickens, and laying hens isn't identical, but pasture and responsible land management are important parts of our operation.
Do you sell directly to customers?
Yes! Selling directly to local families is an important part of what we're building at Rigo Farms Homestead. We offer pork, poultry, and eggs depending on availability.
Can I visit Rigo Farms Homestead?
Farm visits are available by arrangement. Please contact us ahead of time so we can make sure someone is available and that the timing works with our farm operations.
